Kefalonia is one of the most interesting and beautiful islands in Greece. No wonder that every year thousands of tourists visit it and enjoy unforgettable experiences. This excursion offers a full scenic route of the island and stops to a variety of Kefalonia’s highlights in order to get a full notion of the islands true mysteries and beauties. After your pick up from the hotel we visit the religious land mark of the island which is of course the orthodox monastery of St. Gerasimos in Omala valley. You may see the relic of the patron Saint of Kefalonia and the cave where the Saint used to pray. After a short walk, we can savor Kefalonia’s local wine variant - the so called Robola Wine- at the local Winery. Shortly after we visit the two geophysical miracles of Kefalonia, in other words Drogarati Cave and Melissani Lake. At first we head towards Drogarati Cave where the millions of years old stalagmites and stalactites will leave you absolutely speechless. Nearby is located the spectacular underground Lake of Melissani where you can enjoy a boat ride under the surface of the earth and listen to the stories that the boatmen are willing to tell you. A couple of minutes later we reach the colorful traditional village of Agia Efimia and take some rest before you make unforgettable photos above Myrtos beach, the truly diamond of Kefalonia. It is not easy at all to describe the beauty of that beach while you admire the endless blue of Ionian Sea. Finally we head first to Fiscardo nad then to Assos, two villages where numerous buildings have been maintained attached by the devastating earthquake of 1953. The visitor can admire the traditional architecture of the island and take a relaxing walk through the villages to buy souvenirs or just for leisure time.
